Man, I love the stuff Daniel Crommie comes up with. Having loved his Saturnalia Trio/Quartet CD's, filled with dark-yet-uplifting ethereal ethnic folk/rock (whew!), I looked forward to this new solo disc. And...I was not disappointed. More in the direction of what Crommie himself considers "soundscapes" than Saturnalia..., this is wonderful, trippy music that I can lay back & absorb myself into after a long day or just as easily begin a new one with. Listen to "Unfurling Lotus," "An Aqua Mirror," "Arsenic" or "Prey." This is mind-expanding music, and anything but mindless and I heartily recommend it to anyone looking to expand their horizons.
