It's only proper after recently attending the
Camlann Medieval Fair in Carnation that I
come back and find a review CD of similar
overtones. Northwest artist David Crommie's
(sic) niche combines medieval instruments
(flutes, hand drums, mandolin-lke guitars) on
"The Stags Dance" and more recent Jethro Tull
influences on "TerminUs" and "Calm That Stills
the Water". He combines it all in a new-age
synthesizer feel on "Ripples on the Pond" (sic).
This is pretty relaxing and inclusive, a melting pot of new-age spice and
folksy medieval flair, thrown in with
a pinch of Jethro Tull.
